The Tube Amp Doctor EF86 / 6267 is a low noise and low microphonic version of the vintage pentode. These tubes were famously used in classic HiFi equipment and microphone preamps. The original Vox® AC15 circuit also used an EF86 and now, thanks to its recent availability, there are plenty of options for guitar amplifiers utilizing this unique tube. The TAD EF86 / 6267 meets all of the standards of the Tube Amp Doctor Premium Selection process. This tube has a rugged construction featuring an aesthetically pleasing perforated shield. The TAD EF86 / 6267 will work in and EF86 or 6267 position.

The JJ Electronic 5881 is very similar to the 6L6GC but with a plate dissipation of 23W rather than 30W. Another physical difference is the shorter bulb. These tubes have a soft and balanced response that sounds great in both guitar amps and hifi equipment. The JJ 5881 will work in any amp that uses 6L6 tubes.

The TAD 6V6GT-STR Redbase combines the tonal characteristics of an NOS 6V6GT such as from RCA or GE with the current requirements. It is a heavy duty 6V6GT tube, which can handle a higher plate voltage than regular 6V6GT tubes. The TAD 6V6GT-STR Redbase shines with the typical NOS "sweet top end" and at the same time a strikingly dense and complex midrange. Especially with this midrange characteristic they achieve a liveliness in tone that only NOS 6V6GT achieve and otherwise remains unmatched. Even when pushed into saturation there are no harsh upper mids, which is frequently the case with other 6V6s. Sweet full-bodied tone with silky highs. Tube Amp Doctor recommends the TAD 6V6GT-STR Redbase for all 6V6 power amps when a full yet freely defined tone is desired. The ideal tube for Fender Deluxe Tweed 5E3 or Blackface Princeton Reverb amps, single ended Class A amps like the Fender Tweed Champ, Vibro Champ, Fender Champion 600 or the Univalve.

Solid State Rectifier Direct plug-in replacement for 5AR4, 5U4 and 5Y3 rectifier vacuum tubes in amplifiers with center tapped secondary power transformer. Use when less 'sag' is desired in the power supply; just switch back to the tube rectifier when 'sag' is desired.

The all-new designed TAD 12AX7 / ECC83 Redbase is a miniature, high-mu twin triode with very good gain. These tubes are selected and recommended for guitar amps to improve overall responsiveness and dynamics. Because of its cathode-to-heater voltage-withstand capability, this tube works perfectly as a cathode follower. Best for thick, clean tones as well as for those modern preamps where a deep low end is required as well as for sounds requiring fat midrange, detailed airy top end and lots of power from the preamp. Recommended for all positions in medium gain amps or for V2+ positions in high-gain amps. For V1 in general but especially for high-gain amps or phono/audio-amps, we recommend the new 7025 / E83CC Redbase Highgrade T-7025-RB-TAD.

Sharp cut-off general purpose amplifier. With the exception of heater and capacitance ratings, the electrical characteristics are similar to those of the 6C6.

The Classic Sound of the 1950s and 60s - Excellent Tone, Maximum Lifetime! The TAD 6L6WGC-STR Redbase is the perfect choice for vintage tweed and blackface amps such as the 1960s Bassman, Twin, Showman or Super Reverb. The complex midrange and sweet heights are a class of its own. The TAD 6L6WGC-STR Redbase is recommended for classic tone with warm cleans and rich, sweet mids when pushed. Tung Sol 6SN7GTB dual triode preamp tube. Made in Russia. Super linearity, low noise, and full performance ratings make this one of the best 6SN7 tubes ever made. The sound signature is on par with 5692 types. Excellent driver tube in high-end audio applications.

The TAD ECC81 / 12AT7-Cz is selected with regards to a tight balance of both triodes making it ideal for the use as a balanced phase inverter.
