Vacuum Tube - EL84, JJ Electronics
The JJ Electronic EL84 is a solidly built EL84 / 6BQ5 with excellent tonal qualities. JJ’s rugged construction of this tube offers high reliability without any compromise to the sound. This tube has solid lows with warm bright mids and shimmery highs. When saturated the harmonics are rich and dynamic. The JJ EL84 nails the classic sound of this tube. This tube can replace any EL84 or 6BQ5 tube.

Product Reviews
When i buy a new amp , I always replace them with new JJ tubes, they are great tubes.
Spare replacement tube for guitar amp, arrived in good shape!
I put this in my 50 year old Harmony 410A amplifier. This was a drop in replacement for the tube that was originally in the amp. Now my first amplifier from childhood that ended back in my hands after many many years is functioning perfectly.
Really happy with the service from Amplified Parts. This was my first order with them, and I got an order confirmation very quickly, and their site was very good at providing updates. My tubes were shipped the same day I ordered them and they arrived faster than I expected. Thanks!
I was previously running Groove Tube EL84's in my amp but see the JJ's highly recommended across various guitar forums I visit. I had a preamp tube go bad and just decided to replace the whole set of EL84's and 12AX7's in my amp to try something different. I really didn't expect much of a difference, but boy was I surprised. After I plugged these in, my tone was night and day difference over the groove tubes. My amp has never sounded so good, and I didn't want to stop playing. It sounded much more alive, bright, and with a better mid-range punch. I chose the gold pin version of the 12AX7's, but I'm not sure how much of a difference the gold makes, as I have not compared them to the standard tubes. Bottom line, you won't be disappointed with either JJ tubes or the service from Amplified Parts.
I have a couple home made EL84 amps, one cathode biased with a preamp similar to a Marshall Bluesbreaker, and one fixed bias with a hot-rodded marshall style high gain preamp. I had a pair of NOS Sylvania tubes that I used in the high gain amp, but these ended up burning out. I put a matched pair of JJ's in to replace them and am admittedly disappointed. I knew they wouldn't sound as good than the NOS ones, but they were comparatively worse. In both amps, they have a fuzzier, harsher distortion sound that I'm not particularly fond of. I don't want to give less than 3 because my only prior experience with EL84s were NOS tubes, which are certainly going to be better.
I got a matched pair for my Orange OR-15 and it sounds great. Next year I may spend more and try something more expensive but I will know the JJ’s do the job for an exceptional price.
Put these in a fender pro junior 111. Great tubes, decent headroom and great when driven
Good tube at a fair price, and the Apex matching can be a real plus. Work well in guitar amps, more reliable than most and response seems balanced.
I discovered JJ tubes about a year ago after obtaining some new amps and starting a business of repairing them. I find these to be great sounding and recommend them to customers as a low cost option to re tubing with NOS or other more expensive brands. I can attest by doing several sounds tests that JJs, especially these EL84s, sound great, provide a wide range of tone, and do well at bringing dead amps back to life. I've tried GTs, EHs, and Sovteks as singles and in matched kits and I can say that JJs usually out perform the other kinds hands down. Great product!
A great EL84 tube and less than half the price of some of the Russian and Chinese EL84-like tubes. Based on my experience with different amps from Scott and VOX to new Fenders this is the only authentic performing EL84 being made. The Russian "EL84" tubes are all based on an old Russian millitary type which is similar to an EL84 but not quite the same thing and its noticeable. The Chinese versions all seem to be copies of the Russian Types. I cant recommend this tube highly enough if you cant afford the exorbitant high price of NOS tubes. These are made just like an old Amperex or Valvo anyway.
