Full Gain - Low Noise!

The TAD 7025 WA delivers full gain with smooth top end. No microphony issues even with the most sensitive preamps. The 7025 WA supports a fat midrange and creates a bold tone with lots of harmonics.
Played clean, the TAD 7025 WA delivers a warm liquid tone which is very responsive to dynamic playing. Overdriven, the 7025 WA provides lots of sustain with well defined mid-range punch.

All TAD tubes are put through a series of tests one of which is a balanced output test for pre-amp tubes.

Does that mean balanced output of the triodes?

These TAD 7025s are smooth and even, tone wise, they work extremely well in V-1 positions in my experience.
I have used them in other places in the circuit as well, especially in dirty channel positions (V-2 thru V-5) depending on how many gain stages in amps.
I would buy them again

I have two things to share. First, I received great customer service from Amplified Parts. Second, I own a finicky Super Sonic 60 combo (older version), After tube swapping, I found the two most sensitive tubes to hiss/hum are V1 and V5. V5 may come as a surprise to some, since it further along in the gain staging, but it is the tube immediately before the PI. Putting a TAD 7025 high grade, premium select, in these positions quiets the amp nicely. No more hiss, unless the amp is turned way up, like gigging volumes. Great find!

Added premium TAD’s to v1 and v3 on in a bad cat black cat 30R. Tungsol in v2. Those TAD’s made a huge difference over the stock Chinese 7025’s. Very impressed on both clean setting and some crunch. Wow!

I use this tube for the V1 slot in my Peavey Classic 30 and Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amps. Very musical. Nice fat creamy tone for blues leads and rhythm. Also sounds great feeding the overdrive channels of both amps. I tried it on a whim after liking the TAD 6L6WHC-STR power tubes and it quickly became my favorite current production preamp tube. Highly recommended.

I have had a standard TAD 7025 for years and it has been a great substitute for 12ax7. Most of the modern ones sound brittle to me. Just received the 7025 high grade and it sounds great. These tubes breakup very early but not in a harsh way. There is some different and special about them

I've got one of these running in V1 of a Blues Jr. and a Hot Rod Deville 4*10. Best way I can say this is ... it just works. Not glassy, jarring, crystalline shattering as a JJ. Not like a GT either, where the crunch is rough and jagged sounding. These, used in V1 will provide a velvet-like rudeness to your amp that you won't get enough of. Once you've heard it in V1, you won't be second-guessing the extra cost. Enjoy!
