Excellent tubes! Plate voltage holds 600v. Gets the EVH brown sounds also 6l6gc tones. Fuller than el34 without the high spikes. Highly recommend!

I've used this output tube for years in a Hiwatt DR504 head and they hold up very well and sound good. A friend also uses them in his Sovtek Mig 60 amp with similar results. For me the EH output tubes have been very good durability wise but sort of hit and miss soundwise the 6CA7EH is a hit.

This is EASILY, by far the best 6CA7 big bottle currently available. The GE 6CA7 was the American EL34 and my stock of originals is too precious to run into the ground noodling and practicing. These thing are an extremely close copy, and not just lookalikes either. The Original GE's , with all due respect to those who will swear differently, didnt sound like "half 6L6 - half EL34", they are all EL34. Sometimes I think they sound more like Mullards than Mullards. Not as harmonically rich (EL34 tubes arent very harmonically rich compared to 6L6, 6V6 or 6550 tubes anyway) but they have absolutely microscopic levels of detail and the same forward midrange which the Royal Phillips familly tubes were known for. Very much like the European EL34 .Given the expectation that many people have that the big bottles will be somehow, differently flavored, (than an EL34), i was suprised to hear this tube perform just as its supposed to. Just like the originals. The SED,"Winged C" EL34 and the 6CA7EH are far and away the Best EL34 types in production anywhere in the world today.
