1 answers Will this work for a hafler triple giant?
1 answers I want to tame the dirty channel on my Peavy Valveking II 20 watt amp. It goes from clean to a bluesy breakup on the clean channel, and then straight into metal territory. Would I have any luck with one of these in the V2 position? Keep in mind that there is a boost and higher gain switch besides the normal gain setting on the dirt channel.
1 answers I have a tube/SS hybrid integrated amp using 12ax7 in the pre stage. My CD player seems to provide a rather 'hot' signal to the preamp stage and sometimes there seems to be a hint of distortion. Would a 5751 provide more clean headroom? Or would it break up sooner?

It's possible this will help alleviate the issue you are having, but attenuating the CD player may have a more dramatic effect. Ultimately, it is a number of factors that could be causing the clipping and changing the tube may not fix all of the issues.
0 answers How does this compare to the GE NOS and the JJ 5751’s as far as noise, gain, and EQ go? I have a Bugera V5 Infinium combo that breaks up way too easy and has a little too much bottom end for my tastes. I saw your 12AX7 comparison chart and was hoping for some similar comparisons for the 5751 tubes.
