If the Triple Giant calls for a 5751 or any 12AX7 variant then these should work great!

This may be the answer to your problem, but tube tone and performance is subjective and the best way to check is by trying it out.

It's possible this will help alleviate the issue you are having, but attenuating the CD player may have a more dramatic effect. Ultimately, it is a number of factors that could be causing the clipping and changing the tube may not fix all of the issues.

Swapped out the 12AX7 in my Blackstar HT for one of these and the amp now sounds cleaner and more focused with a warmer tone and a far more controllable gain level. It's now my go to amp. I would try one of these in any amp where the gain is out of control.
