Both the Premium Selected and High Grade versions of the TAD 12AY7 are put through the same testing procedures with the High Grade version being the lowest noise selection possible. The High Grade version is great for V1 of a higher gain amp to drop the overall gain and the Premium Selected is recommended for any of the other positions.

Put this in V1 of my Marshall Origin 50H. Used it to clean up some of the wooly saturation. Marshall is plugged into a 5153 EVH 412.

The 12AY7 and JJ 6CA7's really cleared up some of the "hair" I was hearing. I get nice fat, clearer saturation, articulate sounds out of the Marshall. Perfect for a vintage sounding rock machine. Buxom Boost tickling the front end is icing on the cake.
