1 answers Would this be a good preamp tube for Fender Princeton Reverb amp specifically used for Jazz? I'm looking for smooth, clean tone.
1 answers I have a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50 ( Which I love) but I'm looking to tame the top end brightness/treble in the gain channel. Any suggestions in preamp tubes? I see certain TAD's / Sovteks and a few of the Tung Sols are lower in highs. I had JJ's 12ax7's in there but they were too bright and harsh. Thank you

Because tone and tube selection are both subjective in nature, it isn't possible to offer recommendations like what is being requested. Trying the tubes you mentioned based off of their EQ rating on the comparison chart is the ideal way to narrow your considered options.
