The 12AX7AC5 is a no brainer for use in high gain amps but are also excellent in lower gain amps in need of a little more drive.

Great valves.

I will say, that after 35 years, and literally thousands of amps modded and made, the chinese tubes are the closest to old smooth plate telefunkens of the new lot...so far, at least.
whoever grades them the best, i guess...
probably worth buying twice as many cheap, and grading em yourself...

What can one say about a tube? Well, it works great, was shipped fast with no hassles, good fellas to do business with.
