Ultimate Fret Board Polishing System - Lizard Spit
Designed to polish all types of fret wire.
Includes:
- 24 × polish pads
- 2 × fretboard guards
- 1 × finishing cloth
Remove all strings from instrument. Wear latex or rubber gloves. Place fret board guard on fret. Rub polish pad back and forth to polish fret 10 to 15 times per fret. Pad will collect black oxidation. Polish all frets in this fashion. Use all sides of polish pad. Use finishing cloth to buff fret to shine. Polish has sealer for longer fret shine.

I have a guitar I had not played for quite a while and the frets looked pretty bad so I thought I’d give this a try. Reading the instructions I saw I was to wear rubber gloves and thought it was just another of those warnings but I was wrong. This stuff is messy. The little pads are so covered with the cleaning stuff that it’s really a mess but it really does clean frets. I think that a product that allows the user to regulate the amount of cleaning stuff would be a much better choice.
