What is the difference between these 510's and SKU # P-GGT-47? Why are these less expensive?
Asked by Anonymous on October 21st, 2016.
The main difference between these two tuners is where the mounting hole is located. If you look at these tuners, you will notice a small mounting hole. This hole is used to secure the tuner to the back of your headstock. On this tuner, the mounting hole is angled . For SKU # P-GGT-47, the mounting hole is positioned directly below the tuner. You will need to examine your existing tuners to see what type of mounting hole pattern they have, if any.

Will the Gotoh 510 fit my Yamaha LL16?
Asked by Anonymous on March 9th, 2017.
These tuners have a 10mm shaft diameter with threaded bushings. I would measure your existing tuners to insure a proper fit. Also, there is one set screw per tuner that is offset. You will need to examine your current tuners to see where this set screw is currently positioned.

These will be the same size as the SGL510's.
Product Reviews
I have used every tuner imaginable, from straight-pull Steinbergers to all the classic Grovers, Schallers, Sperzels, and (ugh) Klusons. Gotohs are in their own class as far as I'm concerned, with the smoothest action and tightest tolerances of all. I have often wondered how it is that modern manufacturers can't make a tuner that operates smoothy and without slippage in either direction. Well, Gotoh does. These tuners really work.
