Transistor - 2N5135, Silicon, TO-105 case, NPN
The 2N5135 is a silicon NPN transistor in a TO-105 case. This transistor is a close match to the rare 2N5133 but with higher voltage ratings and is in a larger package. The hFE range is less wide than the 2N5133 with more values in the range found in the batches used on vintage Big Muff pedals. The lower hFE range also makes these a great option for silicon fuzz pedals.

Product Reviews
I wouldn't use these for Muff builds, even if trying to replicate a vintage circuit. Every batch I have bought of this type all have very low hFE, well under 150 which I would consider to be the very minimum gain you would want and actually would be better if using 300 or higher.
I have had a bunch of the original 2n5133 in the past pulled from old pedals, including Big Muffs and none of them have ever measured under 200.
These do sound ok in Fuzz Face circuits but there are better options out there.
Apparently these can have gains of up to 600 but I have yet to find one anywhere near that.
