I am looking at upgrading both the power and output transformers in my Pignose g40v amp. I read that the hot rod deluxes' might be a direct replacement. Is this true? If so, would you be able to supply a wiring diagram?

I have a hod rod deluxe and testing the PT tubes removed to pull load from heater circuit and red and brown removed from board I'm getting 6.8v on heaters, 340v on red and 66.4v on brown My concern is the high voltage line at 340v. Shouldn't it be at lease 460v?

We are not techs and can not advise you on your amp. Your best bet is to take this to a qualified tech for assistance.

I have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp (PR-246) purchased in Europe (i.e. 230V/50 Hz). What modifications do I need to make in order to operate this amp now that I'm back in North America? Is it just a transformer replacement?
Asked by Anonymous on November 1st, 2020.
That would certainly need to be done, but you will need to consult with a professional tech to confirm there aren't any additional requirements beyond that.
