1 answers Is this hard to do ?? I am handy. Also, is getting old tolex off amp hard ?? My amp looks simple to take apart and just have wood box. Do I need anything else besides adhesive ??
Asked by Anonymous on November 7th, 2016.
If you have the old tolex, you can use the pieces as templates. Depending on the glue used, the old tolex may or may not be hard to get off. A lot of guys like using a roller to roll out all the uneven parts. I would do an internet search on, "how to tolex an amp." There are a few online tutorials.
1 answers Does this have to be purchased in whole yards? I just need a little over one yard.

1 answers I have a 1975 Fender Vibrochamp that I want to Re-Tolex. Do you recommend the Light Weight Black Bronco, 54" Wide for an original look? 1 yard should be fine? Thanks
Asked by Anonymous on May 23rd, 2017.
Yes, this is the recommended tolex for Fender amps. One yard is recommended for small combo amps.
1 answers I know it's lighter weight than the Marshall but does it have the same look as the Marshall tolex?
Asked by Anonymous on September 29th, 2017.
We have a few different Marshall tolexes. If you are comparing this tolex with SKU: S-G404, then they are very close but slightly different as the textured pattern is slightly larger on S-G404. S-G312 is commonly used on Fender amps.

1 answers I need to re-tolex a Fender Dual Showman Cab and I want to know how many tolex I will need. The surface I need to cover is around 2.45 square meters.

1 answers Please post good close up photos of the back sides of all your tolex products and please confirm this is brand name "Tolex" rather than a different manufacturer. I've used some products with such light-weight, open-mesh backing that solvent-based adhesive bites into the vinyl and curls it before application. Thanks.
Asked by Iron Works on February 27th, 2019.
The brand is considered proprietary information. This material does have the mesh backing, however, solvent based adhesives are not advised to be used with this material. We carry a water based adhesive specifically designed for tolex application. Search S-F316.
It is the product I have been looking for to restore the old cover on sewing machine cases, it matches the original color
This stuff works great. I refurbished an older 1982 carvin 4x12 cab. The previous owner had stripped it down and stained it. Yuck! This tolex was ready to apply and looked killer when complete! I used 3M 77 spray adhesive! Like a charm!
