High quality R82 Series box film capacitors from Kemet. These polyester film capacitors have 5mm lead spacing, a minimum voltage rating of 63VDC, and a tolerance of ±10% or better. The small size, high specifications, and radial mounting makes them an excellent choice for PCB builds of pedals, synthesizer, and other audio equipment. The R82 Series is constructed of metallized polyester film with radial leads of tinned wire. Radial leads are electrically welded to the contact metal layer on the ends of the capacitor winding. The capacitor is encapsulated with thermosetting resin in a box of material meeting the UL 94V–0 requirements.

NTE123 NPN silicon transistors. The NTE123 is a popular NPN for fuzz pedals and other effects. This transistor is in a TO-5 package. The NTE123 was used in the Texas Square Face made by Cesar Diaz, the famous amp tech who worked with Stevie Ray Vaughan and others. Early in his career, SRV had a broken Fuzz Face pedal and took it to Cesar Diaz to have him fix it. Diaz fixed and modified the pedal and this became the foundation of his famous version which he named the Texas Square Face. The Diaz pedals often came socketed and included a set of NTE123 along with the standard pair of P-QNTE103 to experiment with the different sounds of the transistors.

The AS3280 is Alfa’s version of the CA3280 IC in an SOIC package. The AS3280D consists of two variable operational amplifiers that are designed to substantially reduce the initial input offset voltage and the offset voltage variation with respect to changes in programming current. This design results in reduced "AGC thump," an objectionable characteristic of many AGC systems. Careful design of critical places of the circuit reduces the amplifier dependence upon thermal and processing variables.

All at low-cost and in a 10-lead SSOP package. The SSI2161 is a versatile VCA building block for high-performance audio applications. A single channel provides voltage control of current-mode inputs and outputs for a gain range from +20dB to –100dB, with control provided by a ground-referenced –33mV/dB constant. OP07 precision op amp in an 8-pin DIP package.These devices offer low offset and long-term stability by means of a low-noise, chopperless, bipolar-input-transistor amplifier circuit. For most applications, external components are not required for offset nulling and frequency compensation. LM358 dual op amp in an 8-pin DIP package. These devices consist of two independent, high-gain, frequency-compensated operational amplifiers designed to operate from a single supply over a wide range of voltages. Operation from split supplies also is possible if the difference between the two supplies is 3 V to 32 V (3 V to 26 V for the LM2904), and VCC is at least 1.5 V more positive than the input common-mode voltage. The low supply-current drain is independent of the magnitude of the supply voltage. Applications include transducer amplifiers, dc amplification blocks, and all the conventional operational amplifier circuits that now can be implemented more easily in single-supply-voltage systems.
