Can you confirm if this is the same DPDT switch used as a power switch on Fender Blackface and Silverface Champ and VibroChamp amps from the 60's and 70's?
Asked by Anonymous on November 6th, 2015.
This switch is very similar in construction to those switches, but we are not able to verify they are identical and the 0.3A rating make it potentially unfit for this application.
NO, this switch is NOT rated to be a power on/off switch, it is only 0.3A.

Will this switch work as a main power source on/off as in a amp?
Asked by Anonymous on January 31st, 2017.
Yes this could work as a power switch for small devices such as guitar pedals, but the 0.3A rating of this switch would not make it the ideal choice for a power switch.
If this switch is rated at 0.3A as stated, then it is NOT suited as a power on/off switch. Originals were 4.0A.
