Speakers. The last opportunity to modify your tone. Unlike hi-fi speakers which attempt to create sounds that are true to the musical source fed them, guitar speakers impart their own tone. Your amp/cabinet pretty much determines three things about what speaker to select; speaker size, impedance and power rating. (See our tech corner article on Speaker Impedance, Power Handling and Wiring). But the tone is up to you! Speaker replacement is probably the easiest mod you can perform.
The Raptor 100 is a 12" ferrite speaker with 100 watts of power. Powerful, smooth and warm. Excellent definition in the upper midrange. When presented with overdrive distortion, it exhibits a silky, full-sounding lead tone.
Rated at 150 W. The G12H-150 Redback has been created for players who are looking for extreme power handling but refuse to compromise on great tone. The Tornado Stealth 65 is a 12" neodymium speaker with 65 watts of power. Equipped with a stylish bell, the Jensen Tornado Stealth 65 has a warm low end, relaxed mids and rounded highs. The Tornado Stealth 80 is a 12" neodymium speaker with 80 watts of power. The Tornado Stealth 80 is equipped with a cool bell cover and is well balanced from low to high end with powerful lows, firm mids and sparkling highs. A very efficient and authoritative speaker, when presented with overdrive distortion, the Stealth 80 remains smooth with detailed note definition.
The Tornado Stealth 100 is a 12" neodymium speaker with 100 watts of power. The Jensen Tornado Stealth 100 is derived from the original Jensen Tornado used in Fender’s® GB Signature Twin Reverb®, among others, with an added stylish bell cover on the magnet assembly. This speaker offers crystal clear, clean tones accented by shimmering highs with each note sounding tight and well defined.
The P12N is a 12" alnico speaker with 50 watts of power. Very warm and full bodied tone with powerful mid-bite and sparkling highs. When presented with overdrive distortion, it displays a bright and colorful crunch.
The Mod 12-70 is a 12" ferrite speaker with 70 watts of power. The MOD12-70 is loud, dynamic, and well defined. It has a defined warm crunch response to overdrive distortion.
The C12N is a 12" ferrite speaker with 50 watts of power. The C12N has a smooth, straightforward and full-bodied tone with high frequency chime.
The Blackbird 100 is a 12" alnico speaker with 100 watts of power. Extremely warm and smooth with a very rich, fat low-end and sparkling highs. It handles overdrive distortion by bringing out colorful detail and holding strong even at maximum crunch.
Rated at 65 W. The G12M Greenback is perhaps the definitive vintage Celestion ceramic magnet guitar speaker. Developed in the mid-sixties, it was quickly adopted by players like Hendrix, Clapton, Beck and Page, who typified the louder and more aggressive blues rock playing styles that came to characterize that era.The G12M-65 Creamback produces the familiar woody G12M tone, but handles greater power making it ideally suited for today's amps, when a vintage tone is desired. The increased power handling brings with it low end grunt complementing the warm and vocal mid range, crunchy upper- mids and sweet, refined highs.

The Nighthawk 75 is a 12" ferrite speaker with 75 watts of power. The Nighthawk’s sound is warm, smooth and open with strong, throaty note definition which is complemented by crisp, clear highs. It has the perfect combination of growl, power and tone. The Nighthawk is the first Jensen speaker with a 1.75” voice coil. Rated at 75 W. Back in the late 60s, the G12H was created by fixing an 'H' type (heavy) magnet to the body of a G12M guitar speaker. Result: a speaker with more power and a different tonal balance: firmer bass and a more pronounced top end. So we added an 'H' magnet to the G12M-65 Creamback, create a speaker that delivers the sonic signature of a G12H combined with Creamback levels of power handling. The result is the G12H-75 Creamback. It delivers 75-watts of power handling with ease and has unmistakeable G12H tone, with a tighter low end than the G12M-65 Creamback and a punchier, more dynamic high end. The H magnet brings additional focus, body and girth to the Creamback tone. It thickens single notes, resulting in a highly articulate, vocal character. These additional characteristics mean that the G12H-75 Creamback offers exceptional performance when used for lead guitar and sounds massive loaded into a 4x12 cab!
Rated at 25 W. Celestion Classic Series guitar speaker. The G12M Greenback has evolved over the decades but still retains its essential, sought-after tone. This version exhibits all the classic G12M characteristics but is voiced with additional broad mid-range attack and restrained top-end to give a forward, punchy attitude to chords and a searing lead tone without fizz. With its well-controlled low-end it can be used singly in low-powered amps, or in multiples for high-power rock heads. It's an ideal speaker to bring drive and definition to modern high gain amps. Very similar to its heritage cousin, this one has more aggression with clean and overdrive signals.
Rated at 60 W. Celestion Classic Series guitar speaker. The Vintage 30 features enormously detailed and complex overtones, a warm low-end, a famously rich vocal mid-range and a beautifully detailed top-end. The Falcon 40 is a 10" ferrite speaker with 40 watts of power. The Falcon 10" tone is warm and straightforward with a pronounced low end. Its mid frequencies are slightly enhanced over the Falcon 12", and it has a very sweet, yet cutting, high end. When presented with overdrive distortion it creates some mean fuzz. The P10R is a 10" alnico speaker with 25 watts of power. The P10R has a rich, warm tone. In addition, it accentuates the higher frequencies in sparkling detail.
The Mod 10-50 is a 10" ferrite speaker with 50 watts of power. Warm, straightforward tone and tight bass frequencies. When presented with overdrive distortion, it exhibits a colorful fuzz edge.
Rated at 15 W. Celestion Alnico guitar speaker. This classic guitar speaker actually started life as a radio speaker that was modified specifically for use in electric guitar amplifiers. In its original incarnation as the G12 T530 it appeared in several color variations, but it was the Blue version, fitted as standard into Vox AC30 amps, that secured its place in guitar tone history.The Blue found favour with notable guitarists like Brian May, due to its glorious dampened attack, warm lows, mellow upper-mids and brilliant bell-like top-end. When coupled with a suitable amplifier it evokes rich definition and develops beautiful musical compression when pushed. According to tone enthusiasts worldwide, the Blue is the benchmark for guitar speaker perfection.
Rated at 250 W. This bass and mid range driver is suitable for use in 2-way systems, providing 98 dB of sensitivity.
The C8R is a 8" ferrite speaker with 25 watts of power. Crystal clear tone with brightly shining highs. It responds to overdrive distortion with a bright fuzz lead voice.
The C10Q is a 10" ferrite speaker with 35 watts of power. Straightforward tone with mid-frequency bite. When presented with overdrive distortion, it can sound edgy.
