The 10" Blackbird 40 is the smaller sibling of the 12" Blackbird 40, famous for its exclusive “Reinforced AlNiCo” magnet, and the 1 ¾” (32mm) copper-wound voice coil. See P-A-JP12-40BBX for the 12” version.
The power rating of this smaller speaker mirrors the larger 12" at 40W, with a very similar efficiency - delivering more than 96dB with ease. The tonal qualities of this speaker are also very close; the 10" Blackbird 40 is distinctively vintage-voiced, with a warm-yet-solid bass range, the classic sparkle and chime that are associated with AlNiCo speakers, and all the immediacy and forwardness that are expected from a high quality 10” speaker.

This classic guitar speaker actually started life as a radio speaker that was modified specifically for use in electric guitar amplifiers. The AlNiCo P12N is surely one of the most iconic Jensen speakers of the late ‘50s. Visually impressive because of the big bell cover on the magnet, it is the highest powered 12” speaker in the range. Among others, the P12N was used in the high-end amps of the time such as the Fender® Tweed Twin. Crystal clear in the treble range with transparent mids and powerful but tight bass, it is the “King of Clean Tones”.

The Gold is a wonderfully expressive and revealing loudspeaker, affording guitarists an unprecedented degree of dynamic control. The Travis Toy Signature Double-T 12 pedal steel guitar speaker features a tight low end, a midrange bite that can cut through a mix, and detailed high end without being too bright. Travis worked closely with the engineers at Eminence to achieve these characteristics and even managed to pack them all into a 12 inch speaker that weighs just over 7 lbs - less than half the weight of the speakers he replaced.

The P12Q is a lower power sibling to the P12N, with a smaller voice coil and a vintage steel basket, nicknamed the “hot dog” or “sausage” because of the shape of the openings in its basket frame. Warm and balanced sounding, with a nice bite in the upper midrange, it is a very interesting allrounder, for many different applications from the traditional country and jazz tones to the more aggressive rock and roll and blues application. Typically it was found in ‘holy grail’ amps such as the vintage Tweed Deluxe and other similar models as well as the Ampeg® Jet, Gibson® GA-20 and many more.

12-inch bass speaker delivers an ideal combination of responsiveness and rock solid low end. This highly efficient, lightweight neodymium bass speaker is a strong performer whatever your rhythmic style.

Used singly it exhibits a pleasing, strong low-end, but it's in a 4x12 configuration that it generates the great chugging "thump" that the guitar heroes of the day were renowned for. With a densely complex and buttery mid-range and a finely detailed top-end, the G12H is excellent for cranking out huge, dark power chords, with smooth and rich bridge pickup tones and flutey neck pickup tones.
