Speakers. The last opportunity to modify your tone. Unlike hi-fi speakers which attempt to create sounds that are true to the musical source fed them, guitar speakers impart their own tone. Your amp/cabinet pretty much determines three things about what speaker to select; speaker size, impedance and power rating. (See our tech corner article on Speaker Impedance, Power Handling and Wiring). But the tone is up to you! Speaker replacement is probably the easiest mod you can perform.
The P10R has a rich, warm tone. In addition, it accentuates the higher frequencies in sparkling detail.
The RX14 compression driver is designed for excellent driver performance, reliability and power handling. The RX14 is capable of higher power handling than most similiar-sized compression drivers and incorporates a 1.4" voice coil.

The 1201 is an 8 ohm, 12" Black Widow/Super Structure speaker intended primarily for sound reinforcement. Offering superior sensitivity and power handling in a 12" speaker, the 1201 utilizes a Kevlar impregnated cone for a smooth response characteristic well suited to vocals, stage monitors, and other compact applications. This model can also be used to provide outstanding mid-bass performance in a multi-way system.
The 1801 is an 8 ohm, 18" Black Widow/Super Structure speaker which offers the ultimate in deep, extended, bass response while maintaining a high sensitivity and high power capability. This is the woofer of choice for discos subwoofers, special effects, or anywhere low end punch and impact are a must! A long throw voice coil and Kevlar impregnated cone team up for excellent linearity.
The Gold is a wonderfully expressive and revealing loudspeaker, affording guitarists an unprecedented degree of dynamic control. This speaker captures the sound of a well worn in Blue, with chiming highs and powerful lows and mids. When pushed to the point of distortion it displays a colorful crunch with low end emphasis.

Peavey 14XT™ Diaphragm replacement kits include complete gap cleaning instructions. (To prevent gap contamination by foreign materials, a failed diaphragm assembly should not be removed before a new diaphragm assembly is ready to be installed.)
