Speakers. The last opportunity to modify your tone. Unlike hi-fi speakers which attempt to create sounds that are true to the musical source fed them, guitar speakers impart their own tone. Your amp/cabinet pretty much determines three things about what speaker to select; speaker size, impedance and power rating. (See our tech corner article on Speaker Impedance, Power Handling and Wiring). But the tone is up to you! Speaker replacement is probably the easiest mod you can perform.
Pedal Steel 15" guitar speaker. A lightweight solution for pedal steel guitar without sacrificing tone. Tight, punchy lows and warm, smooth mids combined with chimey, twangy highs from a vintage style aluminum dust cap.
Lead/rhythm guitar 12" American speakers. Nice warm, fat tone with a little top end bite and clarity.
American Standard Series 6" speaker. Recommended for professional audio mid-range applications in a sealed cabinet, or as a mid-bass in a vented satellite enclosure.
HF compression driver, 1" throat and ceramic magnet.
American Standard Series 8" speaker. Recommended for professional audio mid-bass applications or as a woofer in vented enclosures. Also suitable as a mid-bass speaker in sealed enclosures.
American lead/rhythm guitar 12" speaker. Clean and full, with lots of body and sparkle. Smokey smooth with high-end definition.
American Standard Series 10" speaker. Recommended for professional audio and bass guitar applications as a woofer/mid-bass or midrange in vented monitors, satellites and multi-way enclosures.
American Standard Series 12" speaker, 8 ohm. Recommended for professional audio as a mid-bass or woofer (with high-pass filter) in vented enclosures.
American Standard Series 15" speaker. Recommended for professional audio as a mid-bass or vocal wedge in a sealed enclosure. Also suitable as a mid-bass or woofer in vented enclosures.
Professional Series 12" speaker. A high power pro audio woofer by design that guitar players have found useful for ultra clean, very neutral tone. You get out what you put in with loads of warmth and fullness.
Professional Series 15" speaker. Recommended for professional audio in a vented mid-bass or bass enclosure. Also suitable for bass guitar.
Lead/rhythm guitar 10" speaker. Vintage American tone with punchy lows and warm, smooth, bluesy mids and highs. Fatter Legend 1028K tone with more depth.
Lead/rhythm guitar 12" speaker. Vintage American tone with tight lows and warm, smooth mids and highs. Strong upper mid emphasis and extended highs.
Higher power, vintage guitar tone. Big low-end, with a mellow, but singing top end. Medium break-up modes.
Professional Series 18" speaker. Recommended for professional audio as a woofer in vented enclosures. Also ideal for horn loading and scoops.
Lead/rhythm guitar 12" speaker. Thick and smooth, with lots of mids and extended highs. Very well balanced speaker. Classic British flavor
Lead/rhythm guitar 10" American speaker, 8 ohm. Very loud, touch sensitive and responsive with nice bell sounding top end and a little bite.
Lead/rhythm guitar 10" British speaker. Very loud, gutsy, and meaty tone with singing highs and nice, clear overtones
Lead/rhythm guitar 12" American speaker. Nice tight low-end, smooth midrange and top end sparkle.
Lead/rhythm guitar 12" speaker, 8 or 16 ohm. Very powerful, thick and chunky tone. Very touch sensitive with good sustain. Awesome bottom end.
Lead/rhythm guitar 10" speaker. Extremely balanced vintage tone with a little country honk and a touch of classic blues tone.
Lead/rhythm guitar 12" British speaker. Classic British tone. Thick and raunchy with lots of mids.
Lead/rhythm guitar 12" British speakers. Very articulate, but with a hint of grit. Nice sustain and exceptionally good tight bottom. Cross between Private Jack and The Governor
Lead/Rhythm 8" guitar speaker. A rich, warm, full bodied tone that emulates a larger cone, with fat, punchy lows, smooth, but defined highs, and a nice break up. The mids are prominent, but with a warm, smooth texture.
