Purchased 4 of the C10R for a DIY Super Reverb/Bassman style cabinet. I wanted to see how close I could get to that tone/sound without dishing out the dough for a complete reissue combo (not interested in the Tonemaster series.) I have wired in stereo at 4 ohms each side as I am powering with an older used small stereo chorus amp with original speakers at 4 ohms. It can handle 8 and 16 ohm speakers, but I thought it sounded best at 4 ohms with this amp. Pleasantly surprised and impressed with the overall outcome. I was concerned somewhat about the frequency response-would the low wattage 10" be too thin and flat? Not at all! This configuration has as much if not more bottom end than my other single 12" combos or 2x12 100 watt combos. There is plenty of chime and jangle that is clear and vibrant and not harsh at all. Clean effects (reverb, tremolo, and chorus) all sound awesome. They handle mild gain/crunch well. These might not be the best for high gain/metal scenarios, but that is not what I was going for. I did plenty of research ahead of time and utilized Jensen's website and specifications. My overall setup has a Boss Katana 50 as a center unit and then I have a splitter running to an ME-80 going out to a Roland Blues Cube Artist on the left and then this new DIY cabinet/stereo chorus amp on the right. Makes for some awesome ambient stereo sounds. I only use at home and do not gig out with this set up so I can't speak for how these speakers would be for gigging or what they might have for available headroom, but for what I am using them for they are an excellent option-and plenty loud enough for home use.

The 8 ohm, Jensen C10R, 25W speaker is absolutely wonderful. Probably the best speaker I have played through. The sound of the C10R in my Fender Princeton 65 Reissue is just fantastic. Very crisp and clean. The bass is tight, punchy, and deep; hard to believe it's not a 12 inch speaker. The sound with the lipstick pickup on my tele along the Princeton at full volume would be perfection if it wasn't for the "flubbing". It's as if the speaker cannot handle the bass. This can almost be fully remedied by turning the bass down to 3 or lower however it would be nice to not having to limit the bass level. This issue only applies to when the Princeton is at full volume. I can have the bass on 10 with the volume at 7 or 8 with no "flubbing". I'd like to be able to get great sounding "Power Chords" with full volume. I would also like to take advantage of the full tube overdrive of the amp as I don't use effects pedals. I give the Jensen C10R 25W speaker a five star rating as I believe the flubbing is the amp's and not the speaker's issue.
