Speaker - Jensen Punch Bass, 8", BP8/150, 150W, 8Ω
The Punch BP 8/150 is a 8" ferrite speaker with 150 watts of power. Punch Sound speakers offer great dynamics and super-fast response, giving the player an extremely solid bass sound. Equipped with ferrite magnets and steel baskets, they are ideal for classic styles where a clean, tight and bright sound is required. The 8'' bass speaker provides a tight bass tone with crisp mids. The tone is very clear overall.

Jensen is used to replace the cheap stock speaker in an Ampeg RB108. Stock weighed in at 1lb.10oz., the Jensen at 7lbs. 2.1oz.
Couple issues; 1) the usual with Ampeg terminals: They have to be cut off, wire ends stripped and new, larger terminals soldered on to fit the very ordinary sized tangs of the Jensen.
2) Also the Jensen has no padding/ cushioning on the back of the speaker ring, as if made only for installation from inside the back of a cabinet. Ampeg is front-load so it's just painted steel against the hard pressboard of the cabinet.
Jensen certainly has deep bass, that you can feel. Above the deep tone I do not find it to be any great tone improvement. I still do not like this Ampeg sound.
