Speaker - Jensen® Jets, 12", Nighthawk, 75W
The Nighthawk – together with its Neo sibling, the Tornado Stealth 65 – is the only Jensen speaker fit with a 44mm (1 ¾”) voice coil. We selected this unique voice coil size as it is one of the key factors for a true rock-oriented tonal character. The Nighthawk lends itself greatly to any kind of classic and modern rock including focused, bright cleans, pushed crunch chords and singing lead tones.
Guitarist Description: Warm, smooth and open with strong, throaty note definition complemented by crisp, clear highs.

This is a very cool and underrated speaker that's probably gone under the radar. It has a unique voicing that is quite nice, and does have a somewhat "throaty" aspect to it. It has a really balanced frequency response and doesn't seem to leap forward in any one end of the spectrum. Tight bass, solid mids, smooth highs. This leads to a nice and balanced yet smooth tone that responds really well to all sorts of gain applications. It sounds crisp, clear and buttery to my ears. That being said, I am mainly using this in high-gain stuff paired with a Jensen Jet - Tornado Stealth 80. Paired with that thing, this is an absolute metal monster! I assure you, this single speaker is far more versatile than that though. Check it out, its a nice one that deserves more attention.
This speaker change my amp charakter so nice. Bouhgt it about 3 weeks ago as a replacement of orginal speaker in my LaneyTT50c.orvi al speaker does not sound good to me. Did not like this kind of muddy and overbalanced mids. Totaly scooped bas and mids. After instn and cleaneralled Nighthawk total sound goes up. Sound is wide open and cleaner. Bass mids and highs are very vell balanced. Overall speaker sound more warm and dynamic. Bass is clear and tight. Not boomy. At full volume you can notice glassy highs on third chanell but parametric eq doing the trick. Than when I connected TS808 speaker showed what is cappable of. It seams like nighthawk was created on purpose of Laney TT50. I also change drives in my IRT60 212 for Jensen electric lightning and it was it.
So may by somethimes is good not to fallow recomendation of great guitar players and othet myth and try to use your ears. If you like it is ok, if not there is many others. But I woul recommend this speaker to any rock or heavy metal amp
