A modern, authoritatively voiced speaker, the Electric Lighting exhibits punchy, fast basses and crystal-clear highs, with a slightly throaty midrange. It covers well the ‘super cleans’ and ‘super overdrive’ tones typical of the most contemporary pop and rock music, up to the most extreme hi-gain, detuned or baritone applications.

This is an 8ohm speaker and you need a 4ohm load. You could wire up two 8ohm Electric Lightning speakers in parallel to get a total of 4ohms.

OOPS! Disregard the previous answer from "staff member" Matt. It is wrong. Listen up Matt and Anonymous. Two 8 ohm speakers wired in series will give you a 16 ohm load (NOT 4 ohm). Wire them in parallel and you WILL get a 4 ohm load. That's good. However, if you have room for only one speaker it doesn't help. You can have a higher ohm load on your amp and it won't hurt a thing. NEVER go with LESS than your rated speaker load or you'll cook your amp. So...yep you can put an 8 ohm speaker in it. It just won't be as loud as a 4 ohm speaker. The load actually fluctuates with the frequencies that hit the speaker. Low frequencies create more resistance than high frequencies in the speaker. a DC ohm reading with a meter of an 8 ohm speaker will usually be around 6 ohms. Good luck Anonymous. The Electric Lightnings are awesome by the way.

The best thing to do in this situation is compare the dimension of this speaker with your current speaker and amp. The outer diameter will be 12" and the total depth is 5".

These things really perked up my otherwise slightly dark sounding Peavey Classic 50 amp. Really happy with their sharp clean tone and they handle distortion really well too. Would buy again for sure.

This is a hot, loud speaker. Your bandmates will hate you and will feel inferior when you are cranking Electric Lightnings.
