I ordered several of these and wish I didn't. Without adding paste flux, this wicks very poorly. Chemtronics is much better quality. Beware of using this without flux as you will overheat components or pads.

This solder wick does not work as intended unless you apply some kind of flux directly to the braid before desoldering. Once flux is soaked into the braid, the wick works very well. I recommend a paste rosin flux that can be applied with a Q-tip for ease of use.

This solder wick is perfect for my intended use. It is of good use when working with most PCB boards in order to avoid damaging the pads on the boards when desoldering components from PCB boards on amps and pedals. I recommend it.
