The #6 wood screws that secure the tweeters into the baffle board no longer hold the speakers in place. The largest screw that will fit into the speaker frame holes are #8. I am reluctant to increase the screw size to #8 in case that fails to work with a standard wood screw.
These seem like a viable alternative, but I don't know what size to order. Since I am limited to a size 8 screw.

Only the reverse thread part of this screw is #12, and that should only affect the holes in the baffle board. The normal threaded part of the screw is #8.
