When I was recomended this model for a Deluxe reverb with valve powered reverb I thought it looked too small for the job. Never judge a book by the cover it's the circuit that counts, this little beauty is engineering and spec is exactly what a Deluxe reverb/princeton requires. The reverb is now an integral part of the amp . Before the change-over(big 2 spring tank) the reverb was harsh and spikey, no good at all, tried reversing input/output leads as some are labelled backwards at the factory whjch did help..even measured the impedance but it just did'nt have that 60s tone. The 3rd spring makes up for the longer yet bouncier springs of the longer EB and "yes" you can get that "Ventures/Shadows/ pipe-line" reverb with this, just remember to check the input/outputs. The right tool for the right job! 10 out 10 for restoring my faith in ","Accutronics" .

Bought this to put in a head cabinet I built for a Mesa/Boogie DC-3 amp chassis that was originally in 1 x 12 combo cabinet. The original 9 series tank was too big to fit underneath the chassis but the 8 series tank fits like a charm and is indistinguishable in sound to the larger tank. I’m very happy with this reverb tank!
