Resistance is more prone to drifting than with other types. Standard 'classic' resistor. Sold in multiples of 5. 10% tolerance.

Carbon Film resistors are made by vacuum depositing a thin carbon film on a ceramic form. A good choice for applications which require a steady, low power drop. Sold in multiples of 5. ½" watt - 350V working, 700V overload, 0.4" long by 0.14" dia.
