I have a single BC549C NPN transistor boost pedal that draws less than 2 mA active (excellent 9v battery life) but seems to bring out the (rotational) noise in just about any pot. The Tocos pot is the quietest one I've found in this application and I tested every other pot in my parts collection (Alpha, CTS, Bourns, etc.).
