1 answers Does one pot have a 250 value and the other has a 500 value? Shouldn’t they be the same as if they were two separate pots?

Yes this pot has one 250k and one 500k pot. These differing values are found on the American Vintage '62 Jazz Bass®, Acoustasonic Telecaster®, and Nashville Power Telecaster® guitars. But you can use this wherever a concentric pot is needed.
1 answers Which pot is which value? It says 250K and 500K, but not upper/lower, and which shaft corresponds to which pot.

The 250K potentiometer body is on the bottom of the pot. The 500k potentiometer body is on top of the 250K. The bottom (outer) control is assigned to the 500K pot, while the top (inner) control is assigned to the 250K pot.

If this is a statement, we would agree that you most likely can use this dual potentiometer in that way. If this is a question, yes, you can most likely use this as you are suggesting, provided there is enough room in the guitar cavity to house this pot.
