The switch is rated at 3A 125V AC.

The switch is a push pull and normally it's wired up so when it's in the down position it is off and in the up position you've engaged whatever you have switching.

The two bottom lugs are simply used to make (when the push-pull knob is pulled up) or break (when the potentiometer is depressed) a separate connection. They do not have set polarity.
