Does this Pot have a center detent? If not, do you have an option?

This pot does not have a center detent but we do have them. Do a search for R-VBM2-500KM-SS.

I ordered 2 x 250 ohm pots & 2 x 500 ohm pots. They came in 2 unmarked plastic bags. How do I tell which are which?

They are labeled. When you remove the nut and flat washer, there should be an A250K and A500K written on the fiber board.

one of the pots came with the first lug bent over and shorted out to the middle lug. i should have taken a picture and sent it back, but it's like a $2 part so not worth it really, and i was in a hurry, so i just wired it up in reverse and it works fine, except the knob is the reverse of what you would expect. no big deal for the guitar i used it on, but if you want to send me a replacement, i won't argue.
