Single position machine pin sockets. These pressfit sockets are mounted by inserting into a PCB hole and applying some force. They stay firmly in place with tension and can then be easily soldered to the circuit board. These sockets can fit any pin spacing, such as the non-standard 0.15” spacing of the vintage-style stripboard (vs. 0.10” on standard stripboard). They can also jump rows so that they are not all in a line. The press-fit machine pin sockets are also very low profile and have a very minimal impact on the resulting look of the build. For pins sizes .015 -.025". The recommended mounting hole diameter is 0.057".

Spring loaded center punch with an adjustable force for aligning pilot holes when drilling into materials. The large handle makes the push-to-strike action simple and accurate. Rotating the red handle adjusts the force amount.

Black stripboard featuring a 0.15” vintage spacing. This spacing is great for vintage-style builds and more easily accommodates axial capacitors and other larger sized vintage parts like resistors and transistors. The board has 40 x 20 holes (20 strips). Each strip is HASL coated making soldering easier than most protoboards and also ensures a long shelf life. Features:

Metal stamp set with nine stamps for the numbers 0 through 9. The 6 stamp is also used for 9. The height of a stamped numeral is 0.125”. These stamps mark single characters by indenting the mark into the surface of a material. The process is simple, requiring only a hammer to strike the stamp onto the material. This stamp set is a great tool for adding control labels to projects such as pedal enclosures.

High quality vactrols from Xvive. The Xvive vactrols are clones of the original Excelitas / Perkins-Elmer vactrols used in many effects pedals, synthesizers, compressors and other equipment. These vactrols feature a thick epoxy sealed casing. The VTL5C3 and VTL5C3/2 both have a steep slope, good dynamic range, a very low temperature coefficient of resistance, and a small light history memory.

The AS571D is Alfa’s version of the NE571 or SA571 in an SOIC package. AS571 is a versatile low cost dual gain control circuit in which either channel may be used as a dynamic range compressor or expandor. Each channel has a full-wave rectifier to detect the average value of the signal, a linearized temperature-compensated variable gain cell, and an operational amplifier. AS571 is well suited for use in VCA blocks, noise reduction systems, compandors/expanders ,etc. Features

Shatterbox style circuit board made with a phenolic substrate for an even closer match to the vintage production boards. Phenolic boards are found in many vintage electronics before the use of fiberglass became common. This board is a recreation of the circuit board found in the Shatterbox pedal. The board is styled after the later version with a printed circuit rather than a stripboard construction. This is the same board that was used in the “split board” version which can be built by cutting the board down the middle to separate the fuzz section from the treble booster section. When drawing the layout, original boards were closely referenced to ensure a proper match and fit. The copper traces have a surface treatment providing protection from corrosion. This board includes a blank mounting PCB. This PCB sits directly beneath the main board to mount it directly to the enclosure using screws.

4.40" x 2.38" x 1.65" (112mm x 61m x 42mm) diecast aluminum enclosure. Equivalent to the Hammond 1590BS enclosure. This enclosure is a taller version of the 1590B allowing for top mounted jack and more overall area for larger projects.

Zonk Machine style circuit board made with a phenolic substrate for an even closer match to the vintage production boards. The board is styled after the early version that featured a printed circuit rather than a stripboard construction. When drawing the layout, original boards were closely referenced to ensure a proper match and fit. The copper traces have a surface treatment providing protection from corrosion. This board includes a blank mounting PCB. This PCB sits directly beneath the main board to mount it directly to the enclosure using screws. Painted phenolic knobs with a set screw and brass insert. These unique knobs closely match the colorful RCA style of knobs used on vintage test equipment, radios, studio consoles and other equipment. They are sometimes referred to as fester knobs. These classic knobs are painted to match the style of the original painted RCA knobs. The paint is a durable chip-resistant coating.
