2N169 NPN germanium transistors in an oval package. The oval package is sometimes referred to as a top hat package. The 2N169 is a popular NPN for fuzz pedals and other effects. The NPN polarity allows for use with standard pedal power supplies.

V828 Italian fuzz circuit board made with a phenolic substrate for an even closer match to the vintage production boards. Phenolic boards are found in many vintage electronics before the use of fiberglass became common. This board is a recreation of the circuit board found in the V828 Vox Tone Bender pedals. The board is styled after the Italian made version which was also sold as the Jen Fuzz. When drawing the layout, original boards were closely referenced to ensure a proper match and fit. The copper traces have a surface treatment providing protection from corrosion. This board uses unique PCB mounted tags for the offboard wiring. A combination of S-HEYE-A eyelets and S-H137 solder tags (each sold separately) can be used to approximate the originals. The BC548 is a silicon general purpose NPN transistor in a TO-92 package. The BC548’s typical applications include signal processing, amplification, and switching. The BC548 is available in two different gain ranges: BC548B and BC548C. Type hFE (IC=2mA, VCE=5V) BC548B 200-450 BC548C 420-800

5V linear regulator with up to 1 amp of current in a TO-220 package. This style of regulator can be found in many power supplies and also modular synth circuits as well as some stomp boxes. These voltage regulators are monolithic integrated circuits designed as fixed−voltage regulators for a wide variety of applications including local, on−card regulation. These regulators employ internal current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe−area compensation. With adequate heatsinking they can deliver output currents in excess of 1.0 A. Although designed primarily as a fixed voltage regulator, these devices can be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents.

The Better Setter tool is essentially a mini set square for control knobs ensuring the knobs are lined up perfectly every time. The U-shaped slot is fitted around the pot shaft and the adjustable straight edge is then aligned and set to the edge of the enclosure. The two white lines on the U-shaped slot can then be used to set the knob to the beginning or end of the pot’s travel. Works best with 7mm bushing potentiometers.

A true FET input stage is incorporated to provide superior sound quality and speed for exceptional audio performance. This, in combination with high output drive capability and excellent DC performance, allows for use in a wide variety of demanding applications. In addition, the OPA2134 has a wide output swing, to within 1 V of the rails, allowing increased headroom and making it ideal for use in any audio circuit. The OPA2134 SoundPlus™ audio operational amplifiers are easy to use and free from phase-inversion and the overload problems often found in common FET-input operational amplifiers. They can be operated from ±2.5-V to ±18-V power supplies.

Small 42TM022 audio transformers with a 1.5KΩ:600Ω impedance. This transformer is a popular choice for octavia style builds as well as ring modulators. The leads are soft metal wire and can be adjusted to fit a variety of applications. RoHS compliant. Rated for 200mW.

Phenolic skirted knobs with a set screw and brass insert. These unique knobs closely match the RCA style of knobs used on vintage test equipment, radios, studio consoles and other equipment. High-quality USA made knobs from Rogan Corp. These small, skirted knobs from Rogan’s PT Series feature a soft rubber grip molded over a solid polymer knob. PT Series knobs can be found on synthesizer modules from Make Noise, Mutable Instruments and others. Fits 6mm D-shafts.
