Bob Smith Industries™ Insta-Cure™ Super Thin Cyanoacrylate. A must have for luthiers! Insta-Cure™ has a water-thin viscosity that wicks deep into joints by capillary action and cures in a matter of a few seconds (1-3 sec.). Surfaces to be bonded must be tight fitting (no visible gaps) and should be held together or clamped while you apply the CA around the edges of the seam. For glue applications with small gaps or looser fitting joints the higher viscosity Insta-Cure+™ is recommended.

Bob Smith Industries™ Insta-Cure+™ Medium Gap Filling Cyanoacrylate. A must have for luthiers! Insta-Cure+™ is a higher viscosity CA for loose fitting joints in which the adhesive must bridge gaps or the parts to be glued don’t fit perfectly. Medium viscosity super glue is the most common glue used in many luthiery applications due to it’s cure time and viscosity. Recommended for binding repair and small poly finish touch ups. Normally, the thicker CA is applied to one surface and then the parts are held tightly together for about 5 to 15 seconds. For large surface areas, including those with close fitting joints such as laminations, INSTA-CURE+ ™ should also be used. To prevent premature curing, don’t spread the glue into a thin film. Lay down a serpentine bead with about 1" separations on one surface, then assemble the parts, letting the pressure spread the CA out. To speed up curing time use the Insta-Set accelerator!

Bob Smith Industries INSTA-SET™ CA (super glue) Accelerator. INSTA-SET™ is a catalyst which acts as an accelerator that allows CAs to quickly cure in thick layers by enhancing the alkaline conditions during polymerization. INSTA-SET™ in a spray bottle is normally used to cure the CA that flows from joints when parts are pressed together. Applying an additional bead of thick CA along a seam and then curing it with INSTA-SET™ significantly enhances a joint’s strength. For difficult to bond materials, INSTA-SET™ can be applied to one surface and CA to the opposite surface. When brought together, they will bond instantly. INSTA-SET™ is formulated with a strawberry scent and activates CA in 6 to 8 seconds without any degrading of the CAs strength, which can occur with many other accelerators. It is compatible with all surfaces, even clear plastic and white foam.

Bob Smith Industries ™ Maxi Cure ™ Extra Thick Gap Filling Cyanoacrylate. A must have for luthiers! Maxi Cure ™ is the highest viscosity CA we have available and is great for extreme gap filling and finish fills. It can be carved with a knife or razor blade and sanded and feathered to form a finish which makes it great for chip repairs. The extra thick viscosity of Maxi Cure ™ also allows longer repositioning time than other glues (10-25 sec.) Apply Maxi Cure ™ in a coil pattern to one of the parts to be glued, spread glue evenly, then assemble parts. Hold or clamp firmly for 30-60 seconds. To speed up curing time use the Insta-Set accelerator! (S-F506)

Removes fine scratches, abrasions and haziness from plastic surfaces. Great for plastic radio dial windows. For best results, follow with Novus No. 1 polish.

By using this kit and few simple techniques, you can actually add life to plastic and keep it looking new. Best of all, you don't have to be a pro to get professional results. No. 3 removes heavy scratches, and No. 2 polishes out lighter imperfections. After removing the abrasions with No. 3 and No. 2, apply No. 1 to clean and shine plastic. Three-step system provides a clean, highly polished static- and dust-free surface.

Un-Cure™ debonder will soften cured CA. If parts are bonded incorrectly or your fingers are stuck together, a few drops of Un-Cure™ will dissolve the CA in about a minute. Apply on bonded skin and roll apart fingers. Once stuck, use acetone to clean off softened CA, then wash off with soap and water. Since cured CA is essentially acrylic plastic, anything that will dissolve CA will also soften most plastics. Care must be used, therefore, when using Un-Cure on plastics. Separating plastic parts with a razor saw is usually the best option. Works Well On:

Directions: Un-Cure™ will soften cured super glue (aka cyanoacrylate, CA). To release bonded skin (not near the eyes) apply Un-Cure™, then use a small, rounded object like a paperclip to separate the skin with a peeling action, applying more Un-Cure™ as needed until the skin areas are debonded. Wash the area with soap and water.

Cleans and glazes plastic surface polish out and protect against small scratches, finger markings, dust build-up, and other markings. Significantly reduces haziness and is anti-static.

Novus Plastic Polish Mates offer cloth-like softness in a disposable wiper. These wipers are highly absorbent, abrasion-resistant, low lint and extra durable. Package of 6 Mates. Using the wrong cloth when cleaning plastics can damage the surface. Standard paper toweling, polyester or rayon cloths can leave scratches in plastic. Alleviate this problem by using only NOVUS Plastic Polish Mates for all your plastic cleaning jobs. For best results, use with Novus Plastic Polishes No.1, No. 2, and No. 3

Removes scratches from acrylic surfaces; significantly reduces haziness. More abrasive than Novus #2 and is effective for deeper scratches. Treatment should be followed by Novus #2 to buff and polish surface.

Remove sticky, greasy messes with Goo Gone Original and return your surfaces to their original condition. Works on adhesive, crayon, gum, glue.

Baby blue micro fiber cloth for use with Lizard Spit or other polishing products.

Removes dirt and stains and slows oxidation of frets. Protects against drying and cracking by moisturizing and conditioning to preserve fret board life. Use Lizard Spit Guitar Polish for finished surfaces.

Insta-Clean™ is ideal for removing price stickers and their adhesive residue. Insta-Clean™ will also remove scuff marks that regular household cleaners won't touch. Works on all surfaces, including: glass, cardboard, plastic, fiberglass and everything else. Uses

Directions: Spray directly onto the sticker to be removed. Let stand for 1 to 5 minutes and then peel off sticker and wipe clean.

IC-LOC™ Blue is a medium thickness, medium strength thread lock that is applied to the threads of fasteners before assembly. Once the IC-LOC Blue™ is cured, the fasteners can be disassembled with standard hand tools if required. Uses

• Threads of fasteners

• Screws
• Nuts

Directions: Shake well, then apply IC-LOC™ Blue to the clean and dry threaded areas before assembling non-plastic parts. Product sets in 10 minutes, with full cure within 24 hours. IC-LOC™ Blue is anaerobic and cures in the absence of air, which occurs when a bolt, screw or nut is tightened. IC-LOC™ Blue prevents loosening of fasteners from normal use and vibration, but parts can still be disassembled with hand tools. IC-LOC™ Blue seals and prevents rusting of threads. Cured temperature range is -60° to +300°F (-51° to +149°C). Remove residue with a damp cloth. Similar to Loctite Blue.
