This jack is much better quality than the original jack that was installed on a new guitar that I purchased. I am sure I'll get many years of service out of this part!

FINALLY!

I dislike straight plugs on guitar cords. Step on the cord or bump into something on a crowed stage and if you're lucky only the plug gets damaged.
However, I've seen way too many nice instruments damaged and disfigured from the use of straight plugs. Because of this I've always preferred right angle plugs on my cords.

But currently my favorite guitar is a Telecaster and as you probably know the jack sits deep enough in the cup that a right angle plug just won't work.

Until now you either had to use a straight plug or invest (heavily) in a custom jack cup that may or may not fit your Tele (or old model Precision/Tele bass) and may or may not stay attached if you place any strain on it.

That is unless you replace the jack with one of these.
Now I can easily use a right angle jack with my Telecaster.
And it's a genuine Switchcraft. There is no better.
Try one, you'll like it.
