GrooveTech soundhole truss rod wrench for acoustic guitars. Acoustic guitar truss rods need adjustment just like electrics, but manufacturers sure don't make it easy. Access is typically through the sound hole, sometimes through a brace to an unseen nuts. These wrenches allow quick access to nuts on most makes and models of acoustics, with a precision ball-end tip for easy fit, extra length on both segments of the blade, and an oversized handle for confidence when making adjustments. Vintage-style truss rod nuts have long, thin slots and are made of unhardened steel, so normal slotted screwdrivers will cause damage – as evidenced on many vintage guitars and basses. GrooveTech developed two screwdrivers specifically for this application. Proper adjustment involves removal of the neck for full nut access, and our Standard Driver provides firm contact over the entire slot width for damage-free adjustment.
