This appears to be the correct footswitch according to the Fender website.
Yes. It will work on the Champ 40 as well as the Champ 50xl.

Both the Champion 40 and the Champion 100 are included in the compatible amps list for this footswitch, so your footswitch will most likely work with one if it works with the other.
