Product Reviews
Decent kit. I used this wah pedal housing to make a expression pedal for the Line 6 HX. I agree with other reviews that the housing is not as robust as a Crybaby, however while the aluminum shell may not be as thick it is still pretty solid. It came with all hardware and screws. If you are going to use a Dunlop pot you need to get the Dunlop rack as well ( P-ECB-127 ) .. Great budget alternative to the Mission pedals..
The Wah shell housing is solid, but definitely not as rugged as a real Dunlop crybaby. My kit was missing quite a few screws, and the directions were very hard to follow. Most likely will not buy again.
Absolute junk. I am an experienced Pedal builder. This housing is made a very thin cast aluminum. It was missing parts. The rubber pad for the Trettel has no sticky side to it like a real Dunlop you have to glue it on yourself. The adjustment screw wouldn’t clear the back of the Trettel So I had to get out my Dremel tool and grind it to make it fit. After I was done, I pulled the guts back out, took a hammer to the piece of crap to see how durable it was and then threw it in the trash. Don’t waste your money. You’re better off, buying a broken Dunlop pedal and using the housing. Amplified parts always has good quality stuff but this definitely is not one of them.
A great wah shell for a DIY project. Lighter than a CryBaby shell, but heavy enough to stay put. The tension adjustment is brilliant. I used a well known aftermarket pot which comes with a Duncan-spec gear, so I made sure to also order the P-ECB-127 rack with the enclosure. The feel of the treadle when set up is unmatched by any of my other wah pedals. I’m 100% happy with this enclosure, and it will be my go-to for future builds.
Very happy with the kit. I added a foot controller for my Line 6 500X, so I have my volume and wah on dedicated pedals. I ordered the Dunlop rack and Dunlop gear pot. The rack that came with this kit didn't mesh with the Dunlop geared pot. I pulled the split pin and drilled the Dunlop rack for the screw size and everything meshed very well after that. At full rotational engagement, the rack hit the bottom plate, I sliced off one tooth from the rack end. WAH-WAH !!!
