Product Reviews
Nice casters but unfortunately the larger center screw in the caster is a different thread size than the original vintage steel mounting flanges on ‘70s Marshall 4x12’s. The new plastic mounting flanges wood screw holes do line up with the steel flange, so no additional drilling is needed. I installed the plastic mounting flanges in my ‘74 cab and they work fine, I would be concerned using these plastic flanges if my cab if it was gigged regular since the flanges are now plastic VS steel.
Perfect!!!!!!!!!!!
Direct fit. Now that I have casters on the cabinet, it’s a lot easier. Thank you.
Fit well and is a perfect replacement for a JCM 800 1960A cabinet.
I bought several new Marshall 1960 cabinets this last year and for what ever reason the casters were stripped out of the sockets on a few cabinets. I was dreading buying replacements but had no choice because I could not stack the cabinets. So I took a chance and bought the casters and sockets from AmplifiedParts because they "looked" like the right ones unlike many other sites.
And to my delight they are the exact wheels Marshall uses and they were cheap too! Very happy with AmplifiedParts for the great product and fast service they provided and look forward to lots more business with them!
These are the ones to buy for a Marshall 1960A or 1960B. Perfect fit and Amplified Parts delivered it fast. Amplified Parts were also the best price I found for these (Summer 2019). I checked multiple local hardware stores and could not match metric size and overall proper height to match my other Marshall cab -- so I felt I'd shell out to keep my Marshall proper. I didn't like the idea of drilling additional holes in my cab or having wrong height by using Non Marshall hardware store casters.
That said, it's ridiculous that these casters cost that much (or more) from all dealers. But the price difference is now behind me and I have a great cab.
I got an old used Marshall 1960A cab that didn't include the casters. Ordered these, and they were a perfect snug fit. I didn't need the socket part, but now I have extras if anything goes wrong! If you have a Marshall cab, these are the ones you're looking for.
Well, it is, indeed, a caster and fits this 1979 Cabinet perfectly! Just bought the cab, and it had a broken foot. Now, all is well, and we sit straight.
Choose these wheels from ernie ball. Read the reviews and they said you had to drill the front ones a little bigger. When in fact you have to re drill the entire hole.No way i'm doing that turns out these wheels are just as good as ernie balls. Ten thousand 1960a cabinets cant be wrong.Came in a timley manner. Would have no trouble buying from amplified parts again.
Great product and excellent service.
