Also, the old cap cans in my amps are rated for 85 degrees centigrade (also seen some of these rated for 105 degrees centigrade)- can this 55 degrees centigrade rated cap can be used in my amps?

If your amp calls for 85 degrees then you will want to us a cap designed to handle 85 degrees. You may want to consult your schematic to confirm exactly what you need.

I have a Hallicrafters sx101a I am recapping. I need a 40-20-20 430 volt can I use the 40-20-20-20 525 volt by paralleling the 40 and 20 the use the other two 20's be them selves to get this.

If you only need the 40/20/20uf section then all you have to do is not use the 4th 20uf section. You do not need to use all 4 sections for this cap to work.
