Capacitor - 365pF, Variable, Single Section
Single section 365 pf variable capacitor, also referred to as a tuning capacitor. Single section 365 pf variable capacitor. A compact, rugged, economical unit used in wide variety of low-voltage applications. This capacitor's almost cubical shape makes more efficient use of space and delivers a remarkable amount of capacitance for its volume.

how do the different parts of the capacitor function?
Asked by Anonymous on March 25th, 2018.
This capacitor is an "air" capacitor, meaning the dielectric is air instead of paper, mica or plastic (mylar, polypropylene, etc.). There are two sets of semi-circular plates. One set is fixed and the other is attached to a shaft allowing it to be rotated. As the shaft is rotated, the capacitance is changed.

What is spacing of the plates (this will tell me the voltage rating which IS an issue to me)
Asked by Anonymous on August 22nd, 2018.
Hello, the air gap is 0.010 inches wide from plate to plate.

Can it be used in a Metal Detector Circuit containing voltage of 5 Volts?
Asked by Anonymous on September 5th, 2019.
If the metal detector calls for this capacitor, yes. These are rated at 350V, so they should be able to handle 5V with ease.

Are these multi-turn? It looks like I see bearing balls in the frame.
Asked by Anonymous on December 19th, 2019.
These are single turn capacitors.
Product Reviews
Great web site and great service. I was building a Long Wave radio receiver for which I needed a good variable capacitor. Only problem was the mounting holes didn't have metric thread. In New Zealand, where I am, pretty much all threads are metric. I ordered on 8th April 2020 and it arrived 14th April 2020 - amazing in these times of sparce air travel. Thanks Amplified Parts.
Great, arrived in 3-4 days.. These are for my homebrewing of tube radio sets and xtal radio sets. I am going to be ordering more in 2 1/2 weeks, and after that. I saved this site because I do Tube radio restoration. Good job to those at Amplified parts.
