Will this premium set work for a 2203 that is earlier than 'early 80's? Mine is a 1978 JMP 2203.

The best thing to do in this situation is get under the hood of your amp and confirm that you need five 50-50uf at 500v caps and two 10uf at 150v caps.
Product Reviews
This cap set does in fact work in mid-late '70 JMP series Marshalls. I just used the 'premium' version of this set to bring new life to my previously dead (okay, nearly dead) 1978 JMP 2203 100W Master Volume head. I now have a fully working beast that is insanely loud.... love it!! So for anyone with a JMP series amp, you can buy this set with the confidence that it will work, and they sound great
