Product Reviews
Well, I received a products in good conditions and first delivery to Singapore (within 4 days). But matching Quad is good enough (actually not matched) as after installed in my JCM800 2203 reissue follow:
Plate Voltage is 487V, all knobs are turned 0 zero.
A (T1) 45mA is the far right (Beside of Preamp Tube)
B (T2) 53mA
C (T3) 35mA
D (T4) 34mA
I wrote this review after I received the products a month later because I just have bias meter a few hour ago and installed the tubes.
I can’t return the tube as courier charges will be as same as products costs. How am I support to do?
But Thank you any way.
I'm running this in a custom Champ circuit that can bias a bunch of different power tube types. This one makes a really nice clean sound and a creamy gain sound, though I haven't tried any other el34s to directly compare it to.
Sweet mids. Great clarity. Has a 3d feel to it.
The matched set of EL-34 Mullards and the ecc-83(12ax7) set(3) replaced the stock Groove tubes in my brand new Fender bassbreaker 45 head giving it a much more defined tone. I couldn't be happier. Without a doubt, I will be purchasing at least 2 more complete sets for backups. Thank you and keep on ROCKING ???
These tubes indeed live up to my iconic Mullard EL34 xf2's. I am an audiophile who owns and enjoys two matched pairs of vintage Mullard EL34 xf2's in a Dynaco ST-70. These are wonderful audiophile tubes. But I was hoping to find a source of authentic sounding copies for daily use. These Mullard Reissues are getting it done. I notice lows, mids and highs sound just the same with these Mullard Reissues. I hear only one subtle difference, if it really is one, between the Reissues and my 40 (+/-) year old authentic tubes. The detail is just slightly better with these new tubes. Or maybe the old tubes just lost a little detail in the past 40 years and these new tubes are behaving the way the old ones used to. I wouldn't know, it was before my time! So I will keep the old ones around for nostalgia's sake and spares but the new ones will be primary. BTW, they look nice too!
The sell copy tells the truth ..
'best current production EL34 available"...
I use these exclusively and its brother the New Sensor "svetlana" EL34, which is a fine replacement for the original Mullards' twin...the Amperex EL34 with its identical build build but monster midrange response....in fact, both New Sensor tubes perform so close to the originals i have to wonder if they didnt plan it that way..
