Worked fine. Replacement for one that got trashed when amp was dropped.

We have used several pairs of this brand EH Apex matching and they ran with in 1-2 ma, even after 10 or more hours they are still running neck and neck.
Very good tubes.

I have an early 1968 Princeton Reverb (silverface with the blackface circuit) that still has the original USA-made RCA tube set. The power tubes were still fully functional but I decided to replace them and preserve the life left in the old ones. I read a review on the EH 6V6GT's indicating that they were very similar to the old Fender RCA's and this was the main reason I chose them. To my ears, the review was right on the money. The amp sounds practically the same with the new EH's on board. If you are looking for 6V6GT's similar to old RCA's, then these might just be the ticket.

Does well what it's supposed to do. Sounds great, is quiet, and seems to easily handle the abuse of an old Deluxe Reverb.

I am using these tubes in a Princeton clone that I built. They are perfectly matched. The tone is great; I am very pleased. I buy the bulk of my parts from Amplified Parts.

I had an output tube that failed in my Princeton Reverb RI. I bought this Apex matched pair as a direct replacement for the original Groove Tube-branded 6V6R (supposedly a rebadged EXH 6V6GT). The bad news: the amp has a different feel with the new tubes. The good news: it sounds really damn good. And the amp is idling much more quietly now. My problem is not with the new tubes, but with the fact that I'm using the amp as a clean pedal platform; and now it's taking dirt pedals differently than it had before. The breakup is coming later, and the EQ is slightly less scooped. Again, I love the new sound and feel. But I'm going to have a lot of work ahead of me dialing in my rig to where it was before the tube swap. The price was good, and shipping costs and times were reasonable. I'll probably buy this tube again if I ever have another failure.

This is a very well made and sweet sounding tube. Quite close to the old RCA and GE models but a tad less depth. More musical to my ears than the Tung-Sol re-issue, from the same factory in Saratov, Russia and the JJ version.

Sounds very good in an old Gibson GA40 amp, in which I've tried several different power tube models, so have finally settled on a pair of these Electro Harmonix 6V6GT's.

Apex matching is worthwhile as it definitely reduces the noise floor in many of these old amps.

This has an amazingly sweet tone in a Fender 5F2A amp. Having been burned on the dwindling quality of NOS tubes around, this is a solid choice.

This is the Best 6V6GT in production. It has that American 6V6 sound, great overdrive with beautiful extended highs and lows, like a 6L6, but with noticeably more Midrange power. No wonder these were probably the most popular tubes for guitar amps, when great guitar amps were the norm.

Superb, full bodied lows and crystal clear screaming highs. My Strat smiled with happiness. Really nice sound.
