The Falcon 12 is a mid-power, rich and fat sounding speaker. Very smooth in the top end, rounded in the midrange, it delivers exceptional bass depth and power for its power rating. The secret lies in its proprietary, green cone membrane, the only seamed cone in the Jet Series which is an integral element of the pronounced bass response. The Falcon is very suitable to low/medium output power stages with its ability of making even small amplifiers sound bigger.

Guitarist Description: Warm and full bodied tone with lows that are rich and fat. It responds to overdrive distortion with a colorful crunch.

  • Lows: Loose/Fat

Perfect speaker! - March 9th, 2024

Tight lows, full mids, sparkling highs without the "ice pick" , and great sustain. The perfect speaker for Classic Rock and Blues. Period.

I put this in a 1966 Magnatone M10A and it sounds great! Thoroughly happy with the purchase

Yep...good stuff. Worked great in a hand wired Princeton Reverb clone (AA1164). Smooth bass with a nice treble response without the ice pick. Tone is subjective... you may prefer something different. For me, it's a good fit.

What a surprise! This speaker is everything Jensen billed it as. I have placed it in a modified (bigger tone caps, rebiased second V1, much bigger OP transformer) monoprice 15 watt. For ~350$ I now have an amp that caused me to sell my Blues Jr. The Jensen falcon 50 has a very smooth, deep sound that cancels out the over-bright high end and leaves the chime and shimmer. And this is right out of the box. This speaker is a keeper and the amp is now also.

I've had this speaker for about 2 weeks now and so far it's been a huge step up in sound quality from the Blackstar 50 that originally came in my Blackstar Ht5r combo amp. Of course sound is such a subjective thing but what I can say is this speaker is cleaner, crisper and breaks up very nicely at low volumes. I've also found that my Fender Strat seems made for this amp/speaker but I'm not as thrilled with my Gibson studio or SG. Not sure why as I'm no expert on speakers but definitely a difference between the 2 brands, not necessarily a bad difference but I personally prefer the Strat using this speaker. Also this is a great fit for the Blackstar Ht5 cab as there is not much room to spare in there and the power tube comes very close to touching the magnet but this speaker does manage to give a little room. A speaker with a larger magnet diameter could be a problem in this particular application just for your info. Also I've had great experiences with Amplified Parts recently, including help picking out this speaker and advice in installation and would recommend them as a go to parts company if your in need. The packaging has been absolutely excellent in recent purchases, the prices very fair and customer service top notch. Hope this helps in some small ways, Rock On!

I've had a Jensen Jet Falcon in a modified Blues Junior for a while now. This speaker sounds great, plain and simple. I am a hobbyist and like to jam at home and with friends in band and non-band scenarios, and this speaker sounds amazing. Powerful, authoritative bass and crisp, bright highs with articulate middles. Breaks up amazingly with a slight nudge, and screams when pushed harder. It's so much better sounding than the stock speaker that I ended up donating the stock speaker to a local charity. No joke. Get this speaker, and you won't regret it.

This is a weird speaker in some really good ways. I bought it like six months ago as a replacement for either this silly univox solid state thing or a Fender Deluxe Reverb RI. It comes in and has this super bizarre sound quality to it. Like old radio-ish on cleans, which makes very little sense to me. I fell in love with that sound, partially cus I've never heard it anywhere else. Because of that it's not exactly capable of grabbing classic tones as I envision them and colors the sound pretty dramatically. I was looking for something that could handle cleans that could go from chime-y strat sounds to deep muted jazz box sounds. This thing wasn't gonna do any of that, but was gonna do a whole lot of other awesome stuff. In addition, it's unbelievable with heavy distortion. It single handedly revitalized my love of playing metal just because it sounds so damn good with a bunch of distortion pedals cranked all the way up. Plot twist: I sold this speaker. The lack of versatility was the kicker for me. But six months later I still crave the tones it put out. So I'm gonna buy me another ASAP and just soak in its uniqueness. If you're looking for that, or for some extremely satisfying metal tones, this thing will take great care of you.

I bought a pair of these about a year ago and I decided it was time to give you a full review. I play out 3-4 times a month in a classic rock band and we play quite a variety of music from Eagles to Poison to ZZ Top and SRV. These speakers can handle every style you can through at them with authority. They have the best low end of any speaker I have found to date. Not boomy or buzzy, meaning they don't buzz or rattle at all, just crisp and clean as lows can get. Mids are also very articulate and the highs are not piercing at all. These speakers have the best of all worlds going for them. I have a custom 2x12 cabinet I built myself and a 20 watt tube head that is the loudest 20watts I have ever played thru. I tried Celestions, WGS, Weber, Eminence, Peavey, EV and other Jensen's and this Falcon 12" is the best sounding pair I have put in my cabinet. I sold all the rest of my 50 or so 12's I had and settled on these. I am not the only one who thinks they sound good. Everyone that hears my set up, no matter where I play, come up and ask me how I get the fat low end so clear out of 2 12's. I use am American Tele Standard with stock pickups, an American Strat with vintage noisless pickups, stock, and a Gibson Les Paul standard with stock '57 humbuckers and I have to back off the lows with this guitar just a bit. I get all my sounds from a Digitech floor processor as the 20 watt head I have is all clean. A buddy of mine borrowed my cab a while back for a gig and he used a Marshall 100w JVM head and when he brought it back to me he asked me if I wanted to sell it. I don't think so I told him. He asked what kind of speakers I had in it and now he has 4 of these in his 1960TV cabinet and he loves it. If you have been looking to fatten up the bottom end of your rig this is the way to go to get the best of all worlds and not sacrifice the mids and highs like all the other speakers I tried did for me. If I could rate it a 10 I would. I have been playing for 40+ years and these are the BOMB FOR SURE!!!

I replaced a 12" Celestion 70/80 that came stock in a new Ampeg GVT-52 12 guitar amp, with the 12" Jensen Falcon because I thought the stock speaker was too harsh and muddy. What an excellent choice I made with this Jensen Falcon! The sound I get now is warm, creamy and clear and yet it's also bright and crunchy when it needs to be. The tone is just so fantastic, I can't get over how awesome my new amp sounds with this speaker. It took a good 10-12 hours of jamming to break in the speaker, but once it did, the clarity of the pick attack on the strings and the overall tone on both the clean and gain channels is amazing! I play mainly hard rock and classic metal and it's perfect for that. I also play clean with various petals to get a dynamic sound and it works very well for that as well. I highly recommend the Jensen Falcon!

I built a new cab and installed the Jensen 12" Falcon, 50 watts, 8ohms. Cabinet dims are 10"x15"x20" 1/2 open back. I hooked it up to my Blackstar HT5R combo amp which came with a Jensen Blackbird 12", and run them at the same time. WOW! What a incredible sound I have now. These two together are fantastic! The Blackbird tends to be a little dark, and the Falcon has a clearer sound and a singing mid's and highs with a good, clear thump on the bass end. I play country rock, 70's, 80's, 90's rock, and earlier metal. I recommend this speaker as a mix with the Blackbird or by itself. Fantastic speaker, and at this price you shouldn't pass it up.
