Hi,
Is this a product I would use , for example , in a guitar combo amp to defeat the internal speaker and run the output to an extension cabinet? Thanks.--A.J.
Asked by Anonymous on December 11th, 2016.
This is an input jack that is used to prevent external noise when you plug a guitar cable into it.

Only one of my two speakers is working, swap wiring, then the other works. Is the jack broken? What does "switched" mean in the description?
Asked by Anonymous on March 3rd, 2017.
It is hard to say if the jack is broken. Often extension cab will have a "switched" jack. Basically when you have a 1/4" jack plugged in the circuit is complete and functional. When no jack is plugged in, the circuit is incomplete and does not function.

This jack could be used with another jack to put two speakers in series? If no, what are the ideal jacks?

If your application calls for switched jacks like these they should work fine for speaker connections.

This may show my ignorance, but when a plug is inserted, are the switches closed or open? Thanks
