The JJ Electronic 5751 is a dual triode that can be used in place of most 12AX7 circuits. The rugged build of this tube and reduced gain (30% less than a 12AX7) can improve headroom and give better control in high gain stages allowing users to more easily dial in sweet spots. The JJ 5751 features a smooth and balanced tone and a detailed response with low noise and low microphonics.

Affordable tubes that really work well in my Vox AC4 Handwired. I wanted something a bit less gainy on the extreme settings and these work and sound great. JJ tubes are a good priced standard issue type tube, work well for the money are are easy to get ordered.

I saw the 12AX7 comparison here at Amplified Parts and noticed the positive description of this tube and its relatively low price so gave it a try. It has a very nice warm clean tone that breaks up nicely when pushed. This would be a good tube to try out a 5751 in your V.1.

With most new tubes, I initially hate that way they sound. Takes a while for them to burn-in and sometimes I never get the sound or tone I was looking for. I've been through all sorts of new production and NOS tubes through the years. It's very rare that I will find a tube that I actually like to listen to right away. These JJ 5751's fit the category of "enjoy listening to now". I'm honestly surprised because I bought these to use as substitute for some very nice quality NOS tubes. I figured I would use the JJ 5751's for a while to preserve my expensive NOS tubes. The JJ's sound so nice, I may just leave them in there and sell the NOS tubes. Running them in a Jolida 3502S Integrated Amp, with JJ 12AT7 gold pin driver tubes s and Gold Lion KT77 power tubes.

Added 2 to a 6505MH and they provide a much wider range of use on the gain.

Bought a couple of these to use in the preamp of my Orange OR-15. I really like the sound and they give you just a little more headroom range on the gain knob.

So far I'm pretty pleased. Running it in V1 to calm down the preamp drive in a 15w tube combo. Definitely does the trick. Going to have to play with the other tubes a bit because the volume took a noticeable step back. Running with a JJs 12AX7MG in V2 and 12AT7 in the phase inverter.
