Product Reviews
I've gotten to the point where I prefer to use linear tapered pots as volume controls on my basses. It gives me greater control in volume adjustment, IMO. CTS pots always deliver quality and great sound.
Exactly what I ordered, using these for bias mods, nfb, and presence on tweeds. Thanks as always!
There are a LOT of choices out there for potentiometers. Dime size, full size, dozens of ‘brands’, etc. And of course saving a buck or two is more important than ever these days. But maybe even more important is ‘having one less worry’ when building, repairing' or modding a guitar.
I’ve never had any issues CTS pots. (Knock on wood) So whenever possible that’s what I look for. I also appreciate the predictability of linear pots. Even though the ‘conventional wisdom’ dictates otherwise, I like using linear pots for both volume and tone. This is another area where CTS shines. For whatever reason, the linear CTS pots have a better and more predictable sound.
Unless and until there’s a better option out there… I’m going to stick with CTS.
CTS pots are always consistent, always good. This one was no exception. And Amplified Parts service is always great. They got this to me pronto.
