Pure Tone has developed a high quality ¼" three pole (stereo) jack using a new patented design that improves upon and offers a more reliable connection than standard ¼" jacks. The Pure Tone design features two springs for both the tip connection, a spring for the ring, and an additional spring for the shield connection. These help to secure the plug into place and create a greater surface area connection at contact points to improve stability and signal integrity. These jacks also increase the current capability of ¼" connections.

I need to point out that the measurement listed for the barrel length in not correct. I purchased this stereo Pure Tone jack for a specific project that required the .375 barrel length. When I received the jack I noticed that the barrel length was too short for my project. Further investigation revealed that the stereo version of the Pure Tone jack is only available with the shorter barrel length. So I had to get a different jack for the project that I had originally purchased this jack for. With that said and out of the way, these Pure Tone jacks are excellent and I will be using this jack on my next stereo (MAG/Piezo) guitar project.
