Radius Gauges - Notched, stainless steel
Solid, high quality stainless steel radius gauges, notched version. Use during fingerboard/fret shaping to accurately measure your progress and eliminate mistakes. Can also be used when shaping a nut/saddle or when setting string radius at the bridge. Great for working on compound radius necks. This is an essential tool for a luthier/tech’s bench.
Narrow gauges are used for measuring at the nut to the 7th fret, while the wide gauges are used for measuring at the 7th and higher numbered frets.
- Gauge 1+2 has 7.25", 9.5", 10", and 12" radiuses
- Gauge 3+4 has 14", 15", 16", and 20" radiuses
- Notched version great for taking measurements with strings on
